VendingMarketWatch Top News Stories enior Vice President of Government Affairs Eric Dell attended a U.S. Mint stakeholder meet- ing on March 13, 2014. The meeting provided NAMA the opportunity to discuss with Mint leaders how changes in the metallic con- tent of coins could adversely affect the vending industry through the frustration and loss of customers. In January the Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. Mint was considering changing the content of coins in order to save money. Industry members Craig Hesch of A.H. Management Group, Inc., Chuck Reed of Crane Payment Innovations, Bill Carpen- ter of Vend Natural Holdings and Nicky Gacos Colorado Café Associates joined Dell to express their concern about the burden such a change would create for operators. The group implored the Mint to consider the vending industry when making decisions about the future of coins. "The Mint announced that a federal register will be released soon, which will allow NAMA's membership to comment on proposed changes to the metallic content and changes of coins," Dell said in a prepared statement.
